The MPBTC undertakes a range of activities from time to time to create awareness about the recent trends in the field of Biotechnology and the initiatives taken by Council to promote Biotechnology sector in the State. 
The activities undertaken by the Council are:

  • PublicationsA quarterly newsletter entitled “Jaiv Praudyogiki” and Brochures providing information on activities of the Council.

  • Organizing Seminars and Symposia
    1. A two day seminar on “Recent developments and opportunities in Biotechnology Education and Research” was organized by Council along with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) New Delhi to create awareness about National and International Trends in Biotechnology Education & Research.

    3. Seminar on “Interface between Industry and academics in Biotechnology” to enlighten students and scholars about the job opportunities in Biotechnology sector is to be organized soon.
  • Participation at National and International Forums - The council showcases its activities by exhibiting in Biotechnology forums like Bangalore Bio and Bio Asia.
  • Bio Asia
  • Biotechnology being an emerging industry, game-changing strategies and relevant application of the knowledge-intelligence resource pool, drive the process of growth. BioAsia seeks to enhance, enrich and encourage newer innovations, path-breaking discoveries and effective solutions in the industry by offering a vibrant global platform for convergence of the key stakeholders – Biotech & Biopharma Companies, research institutions, investors, service providers, policy makers, regulators and analyst. “Boosting Bio Economy” was the theme of Bio-Asia 2011, where the Council showcased its activities by exhibiting in it. A presentation on the activities of MPBTC and the BT Policy of M.P. was also given.

  • Banglore India Bio

    India’s premier Biotechnology exhibition organized by the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka is a platform where National and International Biotechnology experts and companies come together for showcasing their innovations, technologies and products. This event provides a dynamic forum where International investors can connect with leaders in India's Life Sciences Industry, Scientific Community, Policy Makers & Regulators. ‘Biotech for a better tomorrow’ was the focal theme of Bangalore INDIA BIO 2010. The M.P. Biotechnology Council also participated in the event and exhibited its activities.

  • Radio Talks: A weekly radio talk “Chalti Rahe Zindagi” is aired on high frequency relay stations Vividh Bharti from time to time to disseminate information on the scope, importance, current trends and future prospects in Biotechnology education, research and Industry.
